So you’ve been seeing the term “yarn punk” being thrown around and you don’t get exactly what it means.. well it sort of means 2 things! Yarn punk is a  whole lot bigger than I had intended, but its here, its always growing, and there’s a lot to unpack! I will be updating the “About” section but it involves community, creativity, and the mindset behind it all. But, for today’s, post we are going to focus on the other aspect of it – the fashion!

So let’s revisit what yarn punk means.. there is a meaning behind it, legally. Besides the brand name, the true meaning of what yarn punk fulls under is “clothing featuring yarn appliques, namely, dresses, socks, tops, bottoms, scarves, footwear, hats, caps, jackets, and coats.” (you can find the official trademark HERE!)

Being able to express with fashion has always been such a great way to feel like yourself, but for those of you who play with yarn, here are some really fun ways to spice up your clothing! Down below will be some good inspiration to feel more like  a Yarn Punk and express yourself the way you want!
