Materials:
- 9.00 mm Hook (M)
- 1 Skein Super Bulky Yarn (87 yards)
- Large Eye Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
- Optional: Faux Fur or Yarn Pom
One size fits most!
Crochet Terms:
- Ch- Chain
- Ch 1- Chain one
- HDC- Half Double Crochet
- SC- Single Crochet
- BL- Back Loop
- Sl St- Slip Stitch
- RS- Right Side
- WS- Wrong Side
- FO- Fasten off
Gauge:
Row1: Ch 10, HDC in 2nd ch from hook and across, ch 1, turn. (9)
Row2-6: HDC across, ch 1, turn.
Swatch should measure 4×4
Beanie is worked vertically at first.
Pattern:
Row1: Ch 21, HDC in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, ch 1, turn. (20)
Row2: HDC in BL of each stitch across, ch 1, turn. (20)
Rows3-24: Repeat row 2. At the end of row 24, line both ends up and sl st evenly to close, do
not fasten off, turning so work is RS facing out, ch 1, SC 36 evenly around edge, sl st to 1st SC,
Ch 1, SC in BL of each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC, FO, weave in ends. Proceed to cinching
top instructions.




Closing the Top:
Turn hat WS facing out, Cut an 18 inch long tail of yarn, and using a tapestry needle, weave tail
in and out of the top edge of rows around, pull tight, tie, weave in ends, turn RS facing out and
you’re done!
