We love to be able to share some new faces and makers that are starting out here on Yarn Punk. This community continues to grow every day in both talent, and new members joining a love for the fibre community. There are so many new faces that come around. Here on Yarn Punk, we love to be able to share with you these new creators and makers. Being able to create a strong community with all of our members has been one of the big focuses for us. Having this community to be able to come to and proudly share our creations is an amazing feeling to have. It is like our own little Yarn Punk Family. Crystal came to us in our Yarn Punk Facebook Group eager to share with you a pattern she has made. Let us give a wonderful welcome to Hook’N’Tech!

Hi There Crystal!!!

I’m Crystal, the maker behind Hook’N’Tech! I have been crocheting for about 20 years – what started off as a fun craft with my grandmother turned into more the past couple of years. During my college years I made many amigurumi dolls (mostly pigs come to mind) for family and I still have the very first ami I made, which looks nothing like the ones I’ve made in the past couple years. Over the years I’ve grown in my craft and expanded to making blankets, hats, and even other wearables. I’ve spent the better part of the last year pattern testing for many fellow makers, observing and learning the creating part of the crochet world – and most recently I’ve begun to create my own patterns. The Alula Beanie (or Slouchy Thick And Quick Beanie) is my first pattern ever and I’m so excited to share it with the Yarn Punk community!
